December in Review....

I finally downloaded pics off the camera and realized I hadn't done it since before Christmas....needless to say there were a ton.  We had a lovely Christmas and fun winter....here's just some of what we've been doing. :)

Made these clothespins to hang Christmas cards....some of the buttons are from my great-grandma.

Love this "E" I made for my friend Shelley,  now I want to make one for myself! :)

Ella making peppermint foot soak for her teacher & secretaries.

The finished product for E's teacher! :)

Cold night to watch the Christmas Ships on the Columbia, but very fun!

Andy finished his card catalog project....yay! :)

It's okay that we made snow with styrofoam, right mom?? Ack!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

I love this time of year and all the fun that goes into getting ready for Christmas.  We've been busy getting a tree, decorating it, singing in the church Christmas program, and even making some fun homemade gifts. (I'll have to post all my fun projects later!)  We've also been having fun decorating our advent tree with ornaments after we read the bible verse that goes with each ornament and learning about the most important part of Christmas - Jesus!   Wishing you a blessed Christmas season this year!

It took a lot of strength and teamwork to get this tree to come down!

Andy gets to do the hard part while we all watch! ;-)

Such concentration!

Not at all excited!

Ready for the Christmas program at church.

She sat for most of it and just waved at us...we were just happy she didn't try to jump from there or run away!

This little one knew all the words and motions...growing up so fast!

Family photo time! :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

This time of year obviously reminds me of all we have to be thankful for each and every day.  I was inspired after reading Ann Voskamp's, One Thousand Gifts, (http://onethousandgifts.com/ ) to start a gratitude journal.  It is amazing how your attitude can be changed simply by giving thanks to God for even the smallest of blessings.  At the top of my list I am thankful for God's gift of grace, to have wonderful friends and family in our lives, two healthy & beautiful (inside & out) girls, and 14+ years of being with love of my life and best friend!  Sounds cliche, but all very true for me.  However, if you get down to the nitty-gritty of life and further down the list....I'm thankful for "accident-free" days while potty-training Addilyn, that Ella found a friend in her new Kindergarten class that loves God, that the spaghetti stains came out of the brand-new white leggings, and that my kiddos actually ate veggies at dinner last night! :)  What are you thankful for?  I know I am blessed beyond measure and way more than I deserve so it is with a very grateful heart that I wish you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving!
