Happy Birthday Ella!

We got "tangled" up in some fun for Ella's 7th birthday party!
This was such a fun party to plan & by far my favorite of all her parties.  Thank goodness for Pinterest! I found lots of ideas on there and would have been in a world of hurt if not for all the people who so willingly share their creativity....so thank you! :)

Rapunzel is that you???

The doughnut tower cake that I found online.  Easy to serve & a big hit with all the girls!

Jello boats & snacks served in frying pans!

We called the kitchen the Snuggly Duckling.

Each of the girls took a turn hiding the crown in the  satchel around the house.  This was a great game &  they all had lots of fun playing.

Party favors were flower hair clips that I made & a small canvas with a crayola paint brush marker.

Ella wanted to make this for the party so Andy brought home some butcher paper & we just let her paint away.  She loved doing it & it looked just like Rapunzel's painting in the movie.

We strung up a roll of yellow table covering all over the house to look like Rapunzel's hair.  It started outside the front door & into the kitchen.

I blew up this photo at Kinko's and they played pin the frying pan on  Flynn Rider's nose.

Crafts!  We decorated crowns with yellow ribbon for Rapunzel's hair & made Pascal party blowers!

Summer Fun

Sooooo, it's been forever since I've updated this!  Is anyone still reading this?  If you are, you better leave a comment so I'll know and then I'll be MUCH better about updating! ;-)  Or become friends with me on facebook and you'll never be behind in the McKean family fun! Ha!
We've had a busy and fun-filled summer and here our some of the highlights:

We had some beautiful weather in May, so we tried to get out and go for hikes or bike rides as much as possible.  Here is a fun park we went to in Lake Oswego.

Both girls danced at there recital with Sherwood Dance in June.  They were adorable!

Spray bottles & otter pops = summer has arrived!

"Groupon" Mommy/Daughter date to the ice rink....fun, but brrrr!

Party favor = Silly Ella

Aunt Anna came to visit during Rose Festival so we went to see the floats & to the zoo!

Fun cowgirl birthday party for one of our neighbors....exciting times riding a pony & feeding it carrots!

Field Day & graduating from Kindergarten all in the same week!

Father's Day!

Camping Family Reunion & celebrating Mom's 60th over the 4th of July!

Wildlife Safari!

Sister is at art camp so we will have our own art camp at home!

Okay, now you're all caught up through July!! We hope you have a great rest of the summer...we know we will be soaking up the sun while we can! :)
